May.Hundreds of veterans from the former Soviet Union participated in a celebratory performance held in the Haifa Auditorium, as part of the events commemorating the 76th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany.

The Social Bauhaus Urban Experience, marked the Centenary anniversary of Bauhaus, including performances and exhibitions in iconic venues at Hadar Hacarmel, such as the Talpiot Market and Ora Cinema, to name but two.
July. A closing and award giving ceremony of the third international Haifa TeenTech competition, took place at Tikotin Museum. Attending were teenagers who took part in the program, parents and representatives of the Technion, Haifa University and local high-tech companies.
On 2-6 December Haifa Municipality hosted 11 entrepreneurs, the winners of Start Haifa 2018 the International startup competition, and International press delegation. The delegation took part in a 5 days professional program in Haifa-Israel.
The program was produced in collaboration with the Israeli Foreign Office. The program is designed to expose the participants to the highly acclaimed Israeli innovation ecosystem.
The Danish Embassy held a concert commemorating the 75th anniversary of the saving of Denmark's Jewry. The event took place on 21.10, at the Tikotin Museum, and included a performance of the Danish Girls' Choir of Fredensborg Chapel, as well as a feature film about the saving of Denmark's Jewry. Attending the event was Denmark Ambassador in Israel, Ms. Charlotte Slente.
Romanian channel TVR CLUJ filmed a performance of a Romanian Folklore Troupe of approximately 90 dancers at Haifa's Memorial Park. The channel is known for producing and filming content for the Jewish audience. The filming took place in few locations in Israel, and the resulting documentary will air in leading TV shows in Romania as well as in Israel.
A flotilla from Sweden arrived in Israel as a token of solidarity. The Elida carried approximately 45 Swedes. On 10.18, flotilla members visited Haifa, to tour the city and the Technion. A special reception attended by many distinguished guests, was held in their honor at Scandinavia House.
A delegation led by Mayor of Bremen, Dr. Carsten Sieling, visited Haifa to mark the 40th anniversary of the Haifa Arts Foundation, and to take part in Haifa's International Film Festival, which the Foundation has supported from its very first day.
The 7th China–Israel Hi-Tech Investment Summit took place at Dan Carmel Hotel. In recent years, Haifa Municipality, Haifa Economic Cooperation (HEC) and Messila – Medical Startup Academy, organize the summit. The summit covered new trends in various cutting-edge technologies: robotics in medicine and digital health; smart transportation and smart safe city; cyber security and AI; 3D printing; biotech and new technologies for the aging; renewable energy technologies.
Twenty-five members of the Chamber of Commerce of the State of Thuringia, Germany, visited Haifa. Ms. Valentina Kerst, State Secretary, Ministry of Thuringian Economy and Science, headed the delegation.
More music, more shows, more flavors, more scents, more tours, and more exhibits characterized 2018's Holiday of Holidays Festival. The festival is an initiative of Beit HaGefen—an Arab-Jewish cultural center—and Haifa Municipality, who founded the festival, which spans three weekends every year in December, and takes place in Beit HaGefen and Wadi Nisnas.
Seventy WJC Jewish Diplomats from more than forty countries attended a conference titled Haifa as a Model for Coexistence
The World Jewish Congress hosted in Israel members of its flagship program—the WJC Jewish Diplomatic Corps—to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the State of Israel. On the three-day mission, they visited Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Haifa, and engaged with leaders of Israeli society in various areas.
