Haifa continues to host ambassadors from various countries

March. Haifa continues to host ambassadors from various countries, such as Spain and The Netherlands, who come to meet Mayor Kalisch Rotem and to explore the city of Haifa and its merits. On March 13, 2019, Mr. Jean-Daniel Ruch, Ambassador of Switzerland to Israel, met with Mayor Einat Kalisch-Rotem, who expressed interest in the Swiss know how in the fields of urban renewal and transport.

And in learning firsthand about the public transportation development in Geneva, which utterly changed the City's traffic.
The focus of the conversation was optional topics for cooperation such as urban renewal and transport and life sciences, pursuant to Lonza, Switzerland's third largest pharmaceutical company, opening a collaborative Innovation Center in Haifa's Life Sciences Park.
Mayor Kalisch Rotem and the Ambassador of Germany, H.E Dr. Susanne Wasum-Rainer have enjoyed a discussion on various possibilities for cooperation between Haifa and the German Embassy, especially around the events marking the centenary anniversary of the establishment of the Bauhaus School.
